Some dear friends I work with

Benny King – Sound Engineer

Started in the music industry in 1968 working for The Essex Music Group, who were music publishers for a majority of pop musicians at that time. My role was music librarian, which also involved recording demonstration songs for up and coming artist and songwriters.  Some of the following artists who launched their careers from there, such as; Joe Cocker, Black Sabbath, David Bowie, T Rex and many more.

1971 I started a sound engineering apprenticeship at Olympic Studios, which was a major world famous independent studio at the time. Became a freelance sound engineer in 1978.

Worked in many genres of music at various UK recording studios, with acts such as; The Rolling Stones, Mick Taylor (ex Rolling Stone guitarist), Fairport Convention, The Stranglers, Adam and The Ants, Dennis Brown, Eka Mouse, Mikey Dread, Jimmy Cliff (Live in Lyon France) and many more.

In 1980 – 1981 worked at Semp Studios in Port of Spain Trinidad with Lord Kitchener and various Soca musicians.

Latter 80’s worked as chief sound engineer for Ebusia Records in Swaziland South Africa. During my time there, I did some live sound engineering for various local bands in, Botswana, Mozambique and Zimbabwe.

I have been involved with Henry Barnes and Cougar Records despite my travelling, since 1979 until present day.

Saul Malinga - Vocalist and guitar player

Saul started playing guitar as a teenager and recorded with many top South African Bands. He also loves to play football, He joined a famous musical IPI Ntombi and had a world tour with the group, which was based in London's West End for 8 years.

After few sessions in Houston, Saul moved again, this time his fate has taken him to North Hollywood, where he met and recorded with Caiphus Semeny, who did a lot of work with Quincy Jones. Paralelly he was active as recording Engineer at Sound Master Recording Engineer School in North Hollywood Ca and has been writing an producing my music and other musicians ever since.

In London Saul met one musician, named Ade Sose, and helped to produce his album. It was in that session, Benny King, the engineer, has in turn introduced him to Barney. They became very good friends and this friendship is reflected in joyful unification of talents on the Murder Album, where Saul provided the backing vocals on Lady T.
